Aussie World

Project Overview

It’s not all high rise buildings, and shopping centres – we thrive wherever workers need to access a construction site safely with the need to work efficiently.

A true Queensland icon, Aussie World is a time-tested theme park on the Sunshine Coast featuring a range of rides & attractions, plus shops & casual dining options.

Having experienced some hail damage, the whole precinct needed a new roof.

The Approach

With high volumes of public traffic, there were certainly challenges that presented themselves in terms of working around the public, and moving between buildings while maintaining high levels of safety and care.

The Process

We used a ground-up solution, utilising Layher materials, and were even featured as their project of the month around Australia.

When it comes to the construction industry, there are multiple moving parts, which is why it’s imperative to partner with a scaffolding company that focuses on its strengths and knows its role in the process.

At all times, we considered three factors when creating our strategy, and implementing to plan.

Working on projects such as this comes with a number of safety risks. Ladders are not sufficient enough for working on a construction project, particularly on a large scale.

With limited access from which to work and scaffolding allows workers to reach the areas, they might struggle to access otherwise, while paying respect to the ergonomics involved that allow them to work while protecting their bodies, and working more efficiently, while a sturdy, solid structure, so there are fewer risks involved.

Working on a safe platform improves the efficiency of the work being completed as they can be easily made, manoeuvred and shaped to the size of the building.
